Dover Corporation signs agreement to acquire FW Murphy Production Controls

Genisys Controls announced today, October 4, that it has agreed to sell its FW Murphy Production Controls business to Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer and solutions provider with annual revenues of over $8 billion. Following the closing of the transaction, FW Murphy Production Controls will operate as part of Dover Precision Components (an operating unit of Dover Corporation within its Pumps & Process Solutions segment).
Founded in 1939 and headquartered in Rosenberg, Texas, FW Murphy Production Controls is a leading provider of control, protection, remote monitoring, digital-twin based predictive maintenance, and adaptive performance optimization solutions for reciprocating compressors and associated drive systems used in natural gas production, transportation, and industrial markets, as well as in emerging hydrogen and carbon capture applications. FW Murphy Production Controls is a subsidiary of Genisys Controls, a privately held diversified portfolio of global technology companies, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.
The acquisition adds highly complementary offerings to Dover Precision Components’ Cook Compression® product line, enhances Dover Precision Components’ revenue mix with digital and recurring revenue streams, helps position Dover Precision Components for leadership in compression technologies for clean energy, and allows Dover Precision Components to capitalize on the growing adoption of next-generation remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and real-time performance optimization solutions.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions including the receipt of certain regulatory approvals.
